AAA: Heroes of the Ring

Lucha Libre AAA: Héroes del Ring is a fighting game based on the Mexican style of wrestling known as ‘Lucha Libre’. The game was developed for Wii, PlayStation3, XBox 360, DSi and PSP. We were responsible for the development of the Wii, DSi and PSP versions of the game. This game was the biggest project of the Sabarasa game studio, having the Argentinian and Mexican studios collaborating to develop the final product. The game was published in Latinamerica by Slang and America by Konami.

 

In this project I had the role of engine and gameplay programmer. My key responsibilities were:

  • Modifying and fixing the font rendering system for Torque game engine for the Wii.
  • Modifying and fixing bugs related to the shadow rendering system.
  • In charge of the character customization backend.
  • General gameplay programming.
  • Some GUI programming.
